Julie Carretero is a resident of New Jersey, currently employed with the Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation headquartered in East Hanover, New Jersey. She is a distinguished member of the pharmaceuticals industry, acting as an Associate Director for the Swiss-based firm.

It is no accident that Julie Carretero is employed within the health care industry. Health and wellness are two important concepts to Ms. Carretero; they are two ideas that she relates to and takes very seriously. In addition to working in a field where she can be directly involved with medicine that saves lives and helps people enjoy happier, more fulfilling years, Julie Carretero participates in numerous competitive running events throughout the year. In 2007 Julie Carretero began her race schedule in the summer and was involved in three races: the Yankee Homecoming 5K, which was held in Newburyport, MA, the Apple Harvest Run 5-Miler, in West Newbury, MA, and the 18th Annual WCRC 5K Cross Country Turkey Trot, held in Newburyport, MA. During these events Julie was able to not only exercise her lungs, heart and muscles but also her competitive spirit as well. She is well known in competitive running circles for her tenacity, and she takes the opportunity during the competition to embody the ethic of healthy living.

A fit body is at a loss without a sound mind to go with it, and Julie Carretero understands this completely. She originally attended the world-renowned liberal arts school William Smith College where she took her undergraduate degree in the field of American History. While she chose not to remain is the field of academia and history, her insatiable thirst for knowledge coupled with the excellent education she had been provided was enough to propel her into the pharmaceuticals field where she is well-known today. Julie Carretero currently lives in New Jersey.
